Located on the second floor of Owen Library, the Curriculum Room collections provide a variety of teaching materials that support the pre-service teaching and learning of students enrolled in the Pitt-Johnstown Education programs.
Browse our extensive Juvenile collection featuring picture books, children's literature, and non-fiction titles! We've included Newbery, Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, and other children's literature awards winners. Educational DVDs are also available for you to borrow.
The Curriculum collections include P-12 curriculum textbooks and P-12 supplemental curriculum resources of manipulative kits (realia), games, puppets, and primary source materials that can be used in the classroom for hands-on learning. You may borrow most materials in the Curriculum Room for a 28-day loan period.
Our collections are searchable in PittCat, our online catalog. Items with a Curriculum Room location will be either in the Juvenile or Curriculum section of the room. The room also holds three Ellison Die Cut Machines and a vast library of dies to create letter or image cut-outs for classroom signage and bulletin boards. Please note that we don't supply paper, so remember to bring your own!
A collection of Young Adult literature is located on the first floor of Owen Library, near the Graphic Novels.
