Holt Zaugg, PhD, is the Assessment Librarian at Brigham Young University. He is a graduate of the Educational Inquiry, Measurement and Evaluation program at BYU and has over 30 years of experience as an educator, professional development provider, and assessment expert. Over the past 13 years, as BYU Library’s Assessment Librarian, he has conducted, collaborated, or consulted on over 130 library assessments. He has published two books, “Assessing Academic Library Performance: A Handbook” and “Assessment Tools for Successful Library Evaluations”. The latter book covers how to conduct focus groups, interviews, surveys, usability testing, observation & ethnographies, and visual assessment methods in library settings.
