Sam Lemley is Curator of Special Collections at Carnegie Mellon University Libraries, where he oversees the University's holdings in rare books, manuscripts, and early scientific and computing technology. He led the curatorial and programmatic vision behind the renovation of the Posner Center for Special Collections, completed in partnership with Perkins Eastman architects and reopened in November 2025. Lemley has curated major exhibitions including Inventing Shakespeare (2023) and Rare Books & Ancestral Machines (2025). He holds an MSLIS and PhD and has published on the history of the book, renaissance science, and bibliography.
