Travel to the University of Pittsburgh
If you’re traveling via airlines, please note that the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is 20 miles from Pitt. Uber/Lyft/Ztrip rides will cost around $50.00 or more. Rental cars are also available; kiosks are in baggage claim.
The 28X public transit bus is also available, which picks up on the ground level outside of Door 9. For $2.75, the bus will take you to Forbes Avenue opposite of S Bellefield Ave, a block away from the workshop’s on-campus lodging. However, the bus, from PIT to Pitt, may take up to an hour. If you travel by Megabus, Greyhound, or Amtrak, arrival and departure occurs downtown (about ~3 miles from Pitt, but not walkable). There are several public transit busses that travel between the two areas; we suggest you refer to a maps app or PRT’s Plan Your Trip tool to see which stop/bus works best for you.
