She guides teams across markets in asking the right questions, applying rigorous methods, and translating findings into practical design intelligence that improves project outcomes. Drawing on seven years of experience at West Virginia University, Shan brings academic depth to a research practice that helps teams test ideas, learn from projects, and deliver smarter solutions. She is also expanding the firm’s research capabilities through scalable frameworks, post-occupancy evaluations, evidence-based design, cross-project learning, and leadership in the broader research community.
