Dan Kaple is a Digital Creation Specialist in Digital Scholarship and Publishing and a member of the Open Lab makerspace team. With a background in studio arts and an interest in new and emerging technology, he brings his experience with photography, printmaking, and painting into dialogue with 2D and 3D digital creation tools. Within the library, Dan develops hands-on instructional programming in collaboration with Hillman Library makerspaces, including the Text & conText and Open Lab. He is particularly interested in creating engaging experiential learning experiences that bridge the gap between analog and digital processes and tools.
