Renewing

Renew online using PittCat

  1. Connect to PittCat
  2. Sign In 
  3. Pitt student/staff/faculty select: “Your Pitt Account”. Special Borrower card holders select: “Your Special Borrower Account”
  4. Enter your University Computing Account (email) username and password. ULS Special Borrowers Card holders, sign in using your preferred social media profile. 
  5. View loans and renew all or selected items. 
  6. Verify renewal dates
  7. You may also request to have books renewed by presenting your Panther card or ULS Special Borrowers Card at any one of the ULS Libraries.
  8. If you are blocked from renewing materials, want to verify your renewals, or have questions about online renewals please Ask Us. 

Certain renewal restrictions may apply

  • Books that circulate for four weeks may be renewed once.
  • Recalled materials cannot be renewed.
  • Having recalled materials.
  • Special Borrowers may renew their books once for another two weeks
  • Fines/Fees of $25 or more.
