The Carl Beck Papers published original research in the humanities and social sciences focused on the region of Eastern Europe and Eurasia. The Papers’ monograph format (40–90 pages) offered a unique opportunity for scholars to publish works larger than the average academic journal article but shorter than a book manuscript. The journal stopped accepting submissions in 2015 and published its final issue, No. 2503, in 2017.
