Check out a Kill-A-Watt!

killawatt web image“What are your "vampire devices"?

You know...those appliances that suck electricity and cost you money even when they're turned off?

Find out by checking out a Kill-a-watt device:

  • Just like you would a book at the Engineering Library in Benedum Hall
  • Plug it into the wall and then plug your appliance in to the Kill-a-watt
  • Measures the electricity used in kilowatt-hours
  • Figure out how much the appliance is costing you by the hour, day, week or month
  • Undergrads and staff can borrow one of these for four weeks
  • Graduate students and faculty borrow for the term
