Celebrating the Legacy of Bob Johnson: September 23, 1-2pm

We are celebrating the legacy of Bob Johnson as well as commemorating the official opening of his papers and the publication of an on-line finding aid to the collection. The Bob Johnson Papers highlight the professional and personal life of the Brooklyn born dancer/choreographer, actor and director. Johnson founded the Pittsburgh Black Theatre Dance Ensemble and served as a dance and drama lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh. He toured internationally as a dancer and participated in a number of local, Broadway, and Off-Broadway productions as an actor, choreographer, and dancer and was the founder of Theater Urge.
